Spielvogel Papers

These are audio recordings and the text of selections from broadcasts by Nathan Spielvogel on Ballarat radio Station 3BA in 1938-39. The broadcast notes were collated into 3 volumes and named “The Spielvogel Papers”  by Peter Mansfield for the Ballarat Historical Society.

We have recorded six of these broadcasts from the transcripts. They tell the story of the goldfields and Ballarat during the goldrush, in the style that Nathan himself would have broadcast them.
